Zhanjiang
Airport was first put into use in 1952,
expanded in 1995 and resumed its operation
in October 1997. It covers an area of 200
hectares with a 4D airside. The runway is
2,400 meters long and can serve movements
of Boeing 757 or smaller aircraft. The 58,000-square-meter
apron can accommodate seven aircraft at
the same time. The terminal building has
an area of 6,600 square meters with a designed
annual capacity of 1.3 million passenger
times.
Zhanjiang Airport has six domestic air
routes and one international route. It has
also opened a direct chartered flight route
to Hong Kong.
